Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the services of RM Richmond Masonry, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

Services Provided

RM Richmond Masonry provides professional masonry contractor services including but not limited to brick repair, chimney work, tuckpointing, retaining walls, stone patios, outdoor kitchens, foundation repair, and related masonry services. All work is performed by licensed and insured professionals in accordance with local building codes and regulations.

Estimates and Pricing

We provide free on-site consultations and estimates for all projects. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Final pricing may vary if project scope changes or unforeseen conditions are discovered during work. Any changes to pricing will be communicated and approved before additional work proceeds.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are specified in individual project contracts. Typical arrangements include a deposit upon contract signing and final payment upon project completion. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Outstanding balances beyond agreed terms may be subject to interest charges and collection fees.

Project Timeline

Project timelines are estimates based on typical conditions. Actual completion may be affected by weather, material availability, permit processing, or unforeseen site conditions. We will communicate any delays promptly and work to minimize schedule impact.

Warranties and Guarantees

We stand behind our work with warranties on both labor and materials. Specific warranty terms are outlined in individual project contracts. Warranties cover defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and conditions. Damage from accidents, improper maintenance, or acts of nature are not covered.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing clear access to work areas, securing pets during work hours, and disclosing known site conditions that may affect the project. Clients must obtain any necessary HOA approvals before work begins. Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in project delays or additional charges.

Permits and Inspections

We will determine which permits are required for your project and handle the permit application process. Permit fees are separate from project costs. All work is subject to inspection by local building authorities. We will coordinate required inspections and address any inspection findings.

Cancellation Policy

Project cancellations must be submitted in writing. Cancellations made after materials have been ordered or work has begun may be subject to charges for materials purchased, work completed, and administrative costs. Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced.

Liability and Insurance

RM Richmond Masonry carries comprehensive general liability insurance and workers compensation insurance. We take reasonable precautions to protect your property during work. We are not liable for damage to underground utilities not properly marked by local utility companies or pre-existing damage not disclosed before work begins.

Dispute Resolution

If any dispute arises regarding our services, we encourage direct communication to resolve the matter. If disputes cannot be resolved through discussion, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action. Any legal proceedings will be conducted in Contra Costa County, California.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
